Largest cleaning and painting project in the South
Painting and performing structural steel repairs to this bridge will extend the life of the bridge, a vital link between East Baton Rouge and West Baton Rouge parishes, while improving the overall appearance of the structure and revitalizing the surrounding area for residents and businesses. KGC Environmental oversaw the environmental monitoring during abrasive blasting.
Due to geological conditions in the area, the site selected for construction presented unique challenges on designing the project. This is the only lock in the Nashville District that was designed to flood; the lock walls had to be built according to the elevations of the surrounding land. Thus, create a design so that flood waters could flow over the structure with minimal damage when waters receded.

The Fort Randall Dam is an earth embankment dam impounding the Missouri River in South Dakota, United States and forming Lake Francis Case. It is one of six Missouri River dams, four being located in South Dakota. During the 2011 Missouri River Flood the dam was damaged by debris. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers soon began repairs to the dam and its spillway gates which KGC played a role in.

Toad Suck Lock and Dam is located on the Arkansas River west of Conway. The lock and dam is part of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, a series of navigable pools on the Arkansas River formed from seventeen locks, dams, and reservoirs extending from the Port of Catoosa near Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Montgomery Point near Dumas on the Mississippi River. The McClellan-Kerr system is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Little Rock.

The $1.2 billion widening project started in April 2006 and is the first change to the structure since it opened in 1935. The project expansed the structure from two 9-foot lanes to three 11-foot lanes with a 2-foot inside shoulder and an 8-foot outside shoulder. It also includes new signalized intersections to replace the traffic circle at Jefferson Highway and Bridge City Avenue in Jefferson Parish, LA. KGC Environmental provided TSP monitoring for the duration of the job.
